Socio-Economic Dev.

Like other areas of the State, the problem of unemployment has made its pangs felt at Somsar village too. Unemployment for both educated and uneducated youth adds to the problem of poverty. A work plan for socio-economic development is being implemented by the Seva Mandir as the problem is serious and deserves immediate attention.

Tailoring Training Programme: Since women cannot normally move out of the village we have focused greater attention on them. For the purpose, a few poor women have been selected and are being given special training in tailoring, cutting and embroidery work on regular basis.
The training given with the assistance of Ramakrishna Mission, Jana Shiksha Kendra, has already proved very useful and popular. A number of women are now trained and taken to the profession of tailoring, thereby earning from their homes.
